MMTA's Music Connect Program Benefits from 60th Anniversary Gala Donations

We want to thank ALL of you, whether you were able to Zoom in on the 60th Anniversary Virtual Gala or not, for your generous donations to MMTA’s Music Connect Program. Over $800.00 has been raised and we plan to have the donation link permanently available on the MMTA website. Thank you to Heather Rogers Riley for setting it up and for Treasurer Yulia Zhuravleva for administering it.

We’ll now start a large outreach program featuring 10-minute Zoom Coffee Calls and a Virtual Postcard, to excite people about this program and spread the word that it is accessible and available to students in need.

Since September 21, 2020’s Newsletter Report, one grant has been added:

32 - Sixty minute lessons

This makes a total of THREE grants for this academic year thus far.

We have funds and it’s easy and quick to apply. If there is need on the part of one of your students, please do NOT hesitate to contact me!

Please apply if you have a student in need – it’s easy and quick! You can apply now for the remainder of the academic year.

MMTA believes that any child who has musical ability and interest in playing an instrument or singing deserves the opportunity to explore this talent. The MMTA Music Connect Program (MCP) offers music lessons tuition-free to students who have a demonstrated financial need and will study with an MMTA member in good standing. MMTA is thrilled to offer this program to our member teachers and their students! To apply as a Music Connect Program student or to recommend a student for study in your studio, please click here.
