On Saturday, June 15, a large and festive group of MMTA members, along with family and friends of Valerie Stark, gathered to celebrate her MMTA Teacher of the Year award. The camaraderie of old and new colleagues was enhanced by the lovely home, gardens, and hospitality of Vera Rubin. Valerie was feted with a gorgeous cake and a huge spread of food and drink. MMTA presented Valerie with a set of delightful custom-designed glasses from Cape Cod. It was an afternoon that everyone will remember!
